Ant-Man and the Wasp is a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink.
And we'll get to see a repeat performance of Giant-Man, the supersized version of Ant-Man who made his debut in Captain America: Civil War. Evangeline Lilly is also returning as Hope van Dyne, but this time she will get the chance to suit up - as indicated by her co-billing. Indeed a ideal set-up for the return of Evangeline into the franchise and join hands with our shrinking superhero. The Wasp figure comes complete with two wrist accessories acting as her stinging blasters while the Ant-Man figure includes a hidden launcher and a tiny version of Scott Lang.
The key to the first Ant-Man's success was a winking acknowledgment of the ridiculous "shrinking and enlarging objects" premise. There's also only one shot of everyone's favorite storyteller Luis (Michael Pena) but he is confirmed for the cast list - and maybe the next trailer will just be him describing the action. Rumors have suggested that the deeper plot of the film could involve Hope's mother - and original Wasp - Janet van Dyne.
The sequel takes place shortly after the events of Captain America: Civil War so Scott Lang (Ant-Man), Hope van Dyke (The Wasp) and Hank Pym are all on the run from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He now needs to team up with van Dyne who is ready to don the role of the new Wasp.
The new film is looking pretty good too! Ant-Man's civilian alter ego, Scott Lang, questions his mentor, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), upon witnessing the additional capabilities.
