He alleged that there is a dictatorship in the board and few people are controlling it. SQR Ilyas, the convenor of the Babri Masjid committee board, said Nadvi should have raised the issue in the AIMPLB meeting before speaking publicly.
Maulana, Nadvi, who teaches at the Islamic seminary of Nadwa Madrassa in Lucknow, has drawn flak from other senior members of the board who had called a meeting recently at Hyderabad.
Presidential address was given by AIMPLB president Maulana Rabey Hasni Nadvi in the morning session followed by an address by general secretary Maulana Wali Rehamani, he said. "Several members of the board have met me and expressed their commitment to foster amity among Hindus and Muslims and to peacefully resolve this issue", Ravi Shankar said.
Meanwhile, in another stand, the chief priest of Hanuman Garhi temple of Ayodhya and president of Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Nirmaan Samiti, Mahant Gyan Das, has offered to "gift" Aurangzebi Masjid to Muslims if the minority community gives up its claim on Babri Masjid and allows Hindus to build Ram Mandir at the disputed site.
"Both of them in their addresses have said that triple talaq bill which is now pending in the Rajya Sabha is not acceptable to the Muslim community because it is against the Constitution".
Without mentioning, Nadwi's name, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday said that the land dedicated for Babri Masjid can not be sold, gifted, or alienated.
"Without any doubt, we make it clear that the struggle for the reconstruction of Babri Masjid continues and the appeal in Supreme Court is being fought rigorously with all the resources available at the disposal of the Board. It is against the constitutional provisions which were given to the minorities", he said.
The AIMPLB adopted a declaration at the end of a three-day 26th plenary of the board which said that Muslims in the country were feeling insecure and the present day conditions in the country were a matter of grave concern for them. The board will also deliberate if a clause of prohibited instant talaq should be included in the Muslim marriage contract. The mosque was demolished by Hindu Karsevaks on December 6, 1992 in Ayodhya.
Maulana Nadvi is expelled today for going against the stand of the AIMPLB. So the board was left with no other option.
Last year, the top court had put a freeze on an earlier judgment of the Allahabad High Court that said Lord Ram was born under the central dome of the makeshift temple in Ayodhya and Hindus have the right to worship there.
