This new plan is listed on the company's website and also on My Idea application, meaning it could be an open market plan in the said circle.

In the same region, Idea Cellular offers other prepaid plans such as Rs. 199 plan offering unlimited voice calls and 1.4GB data per day for 28 days, Rs. 398 plan offering 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls for 70 days and Rs. 449 and Rs. 509 plans offering 1.4GB data per day and unlimited voice calls for 82 days and 90 days respectively.

Under the Rs 158 prepaid plan, Vodafone users will get unlimited local and STD voice calls along with free national roaming calls, reports TelecomTalk. The new prepaid plan will offer unlimited calls local plus STD and roaming calls for 14 days.

Idea also offers a cheaper Rs 93 plan, which gives users unlimited local and STD calls and 1GB 4G data for 10 days.

Lately, Jio has been slashing the pricing of its prepaid plans and offering nearly double the data benefits at the same cost.

Vodafone prepaid plan Rs. 198 offers 1.4GB/day of 3G/4G data for a validity of 28 Days. The plan is valid for 28 days from the date of recharge. Daily 100 local and national free SMSes are also bundled with this prepaid recharge plan.

Although the telecom operator claims to offer unlimited calls, but it actually doesn't. Idea's unlimited voice calls are limited to 250 minutes per day calling and 1,000 minutes per week calling. Sadly, unlike other telecom operator plans, this one does not come with free SMSes. On the other hand, Reliance Jio is giving 2GB data with unlimited calling for the validity of 28 days. After revision all the plans are offering more data with the roll over facility.

With the cut, Vodafone-Idea has become more attractive compared to Bharti Airtel for entry-level users as the cost of the pack is only Rs 149 in case of Idea and Rs 159 in case of Vodafone. In comparison to Idea's offer, Airtel and Reliance JIo is offering unlimited calls without any Fair Usage Policy (FuP) limit.
