This is Modi's first visit to Jordan and also the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 30 years.
A lot of Palestinian diplomats have received training in India and hundreds of Palestinians have availed scholarships to study at Indian institutions as part of New Delhi's effort towards capacity building in Palestine. The two leaders had discussed the Palestine issue then.
"We are working on promoting the economical relations through introducing businessmen and investors from both sides on the available opportunities in the sectors of tourism, technological exchange in many areas, including industrial, agricultural, and information systems, and on the other hand, signing government agreements to support businessmen and protect their investments", he said.
Modi will reach here tomorrow from Palestine and then will have bilateral engagements in Abu Dhabi followed by a banquet, India's ambassador to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri said.
India-UAE ties were elevated to that of a Comprehensive and Strategic Partnership during Modi's visit in 2015. "The Indian diaspora is a bridge of friendship between India and the Gulf countries".
The UAE is home to over three million people of Indian origin.
Mr Modi also asked the MPs to hold meetings at booth level to take details of various welfare schemes announced in the Budget to people and run intensive campaigns to propagate them, Mr Kumar said. Two Deputy Prime Ministers of Oman, Sayyed Fahad and Sayyed Asad, will also also call on Modi. Modi will also meet the Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and visit a painting exhibition by Ramesh Shukla, Suri said. In Oman, they constitute the largest expatriate community. The port of Salala is of special importance for India while planes travelling further up in the West get refueling facility in Oman on a regular basis.
