After dropping their first-ever mixed doubles curling match at the Winter Olympics, the team of Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris have reeled off four straight victories.
"It's feeling good but we know we are in for some really tough games". The tournament is round-robin played by teams of one man and one woman.
The Americans never trailed after that first end and the game was called after seven ends when they had amassed an insurmountable lead.
"To be able to slide over the Olympic rings and to feel as though we're part of something historic is really powerful and special", said Lawes.

"We decided that we should try out for it because it is another opportunity in the Olympics", he said, noting the added advantage of competing with his sibling. "It helps when Kaitlyn is making some great last shots".

Morris actually plays a lot of skip, but often throws third stones, and was the third for Kevin Martin when they won the Olympic gold in 2010.
The duo had little experience playing mixed doubles together prior to winning January's trials - a competition where they rebounded to qualify for Pyeongchang after losing three of their first five games.
Canada has made the mixed doubles podium just twice at the world championships, grabbing a silver in 2017 and a bronze in 2009.
The saying goes that blood is thicker than water, but for Team USA's inaugural mixed doubles curling team, the two can be a golden combination so long as the water is kept below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
"Unfortunately there's not free bingo spaces here", Lawes said following the loss to Finland.
