The company retained the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC that was used by the Redmi Note 4 on the Redmi Note 5 as well. The Redmi Note 5 smartphone- a successor to the popular Redmi Note 4 is expected to be launched in India at 12 noon.

Besides these new phones, the company finally launched the Mi LED TV 4 which is its first TV in India. The 20MP selfie camera also relies on AI power to take bokeh portraits, just like the Google Pixel 2 - this gives the Redmi Note 5 Pro a huge advantage over its rivals.

In India, the Note 5's price ranges from 9,999 Indian rupees (P8,131.22)* for the base version to 11,999 rupees (P9757.62) for the version packing 4GB version and 64GB of storage.

The biggest attraction of the device is the 18:9 aspect ratio display and the dual camera setup on the rear.

The Mi TV 4 will likely be launched along side the Redmi Note 5 as well.

Under the hood, the Mi LED Smart TV is powered by a 64-bit Amlogic L962 chipset with four 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 cores along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. After signing in Mi users will receive a notification prior to the start of Redmi Note 5 Live stream. People believe that it would carry the same design of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 or Redmi 5 Plus. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It comes in two variants - 3GB/32 GB and 4GB/64 GB - in terms of storage space. Allegedly, the company spent a long time customising the interface of the TV to make it truly smart. The Mi TV 4 will be available to buy from Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Home stores, starting February 22. The 8-megapixel camera sitting on the frontside of the Note 5 has been optimized to capture good quality selfie shots in low-light conditions. This Mi TV 4 runs on MIUI TV with PatchWall AI based on Android OS. The rear camera consists of a 12MP camera with a f/2.2 aperture along with a 5MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Coming to the pricing, the Redmi Note 5 Pro with 4GB and 6GB RAM is priced at Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 16,999 respectively.

The TV packs a number of connectivity options and ports including dual-band Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, three HDMI 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0 port, Ethernet port, AV in, and Audio out.
