Anthony Davis left Wednesday's game at Sacramento after suffering an ankle injury in the third quarter and it appears he could miss further time.
Davis, who sprained his ankle in a win over the Kings on Wednesday, is reportedly doubtful to play against the Washington Wizards on Friday.
Anthony Davis has been at the heart of New Orleans' franchise record-tying 10-game winning streak.
A victory would give the Pelicans, at least temporarily, the No. 3 seed spot in the Western Conference playoff race, depending on the outcome of 39-26 Portland's game at Golden State late Friday night.
The Pelicans went 1-5 in the aftermath of losing Cousins to season-ending Achilles surgery. 88 if burden the next nine or even at home which is a good thing so I could I deathly understand though if they do opt to rest him because you got to all whole huge slate of games this month to contend with and it is even next week.
During their last five games, the Pelicans have scored an average of 121.4 points per game (8.9 above their season average) and allowed an average of 111.6 points per game (0.1 above their season average). My guess that would trust Davis is how how he's feeling what he says and also other team doctors' assessment.
Washington comes into the game with records of 37-28 straight up (SU) and 30-33-2 against the spread (ATS). The season Steph beat him, Steph was just off the charts. He was able to tie his season-high with 16 points while adding six assists.
The team will likely be without Davis for that game, however, after he sprained his ankle during the win against the Sacramento Kings.
"I've been taking a lot of extra work to get my confidence back because I was (in) a little struggle in the beginning with my shots", Mirotic said. But on Thursday afternoon, the Pelicans did get some good news after Davis underwent another MRI. Holiday has been playing like an All-Star for an extended period, and Mirotic has been very impressive coming off the bench for Alvin Gentry.
