The Bucks defeated the Celtics 104-102 at the Bradley Center on Sunday, thanks to Antetokounmpo's game-winning tip-in with 5.1 seconds left. Boston has seen the over go 5-0 in their last 5 games playing on 1 day of rest, 6-0 in their last 6 home games, 4-0 in their last 4 games following a straight up loss and 6-0 in their last 6 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Antetokounmpo tipped in the game victor off of a missed layup by teammate Michael Brogdon with five seconds remaining to give the Bucks a 104-102 lead.
"It comes back to trust", Antetokounmpo said.
"The activity, if you take the stat sheet out of it, the activity and the energy that we brought.as you go through the game, that's what you need, is the energy first", coach Joe Prunty said. Forwards Khris Middleton and Jabari Parker are two players who have provided support to Antetokounmpo's show.
The Bucks can look like world-beaters one night, capable of going toe-to-toe with the best in the game, only to come out looking flat and lethargic against a league bottom-dweller the next.
"We realized how important this game was ..." They erased the deficit over the next quarter-and-a-half and seized a 100-99 lead on Jayson Tatum's jumper with 52.4 seconds remaining. He just couldn't hold off Antetokounmpo on the other end for the decisive tip- in.
Just because he played two seasons plus a fraction of a third for the Bucks doesn't mean that Greg Monroe feels any more animus than usual for his opponent. (He and Anthony Davis have made the most progress towards that particular Mount Rushmore this season.) He times his tip perfectly, getting it just as the ball is about to tumble off the rim, and he's nearly impossible to box out.
Brad Stevens however, speaking to reporters prior to Celtics shoot around on Tuesday, said he has moved on.
Both teams traded clutch buckets down the stretch. In Game 4, the Bucks led by 16 at the half but trailed in the final minute before sitting tied at 102 in the final seconds. This time they're all in black after wearing gray in Game 3. Morris bent over in frustration near the Boston bench after his fadeaway hit the rim.
"We got into a hole". Middleton after he shot 10 of 17 from the field. "It didn't go in tonight".
Game 5 is on Wednesday in Cleveland. Larkin is averaging 18.0 minutes per game in the series but is barely contributing to the team, putting up just 4.5 points and handing out 2.3 assists over the last four contests.
"Shoot me one, that'd be great", Stevens said. Boston ended with a 43-36 edge on the boards. In this series, he has proven that he is too strong for Giannis Antetokounmpo in the paint, and yet he didn't take advantage in Game 4.
Bucks: Malcolm Brogdon replaced Tony Snell at guard alongside Bledsoe.
In Game 2, he knew that the reduced spread was an overreaction to Milwaukee forcing overtime in Game 1 and that the value was on the Celtics.
The Bucks' reinvigorated bench outscored the Celtics' reserves 31-15.
"We know how he plays".
The Bucks have sliced and diced up Boston's vaunted defense in the first four games of the series as they have shot a blistering 54.2 percent from the field, including 43.6 percent from beyond the arc. "They had a lot to do with that".
Even though Smart hasn't played in a competitive game in more than a month, the Bucks have every intention of going at him as though he had played in every game of this series.
"Thon is playing extremely assertive".
