Nancy Kerrigan competed on Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars a year ago, so fans who fell in love with her might find it hard to stomach seeing Tonya Harding on the show. A feud with her rival skater Nancy Kerrigan tarnished Harding's reputation in 1994 when her ex-husband and manager hired a man to hit Kerrigan in the knee with a police baton. Kerrigan already competed on DWTS this time a year ago. Luckily for those who are decidedly not Team Tonya, there will be plenty of other Olympians for them to root for.
Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon and Olympic snowboarder Jamie Anderson are also expected to appear on the program.
Anderson won snowboarding gold in the women's slopestyle competition and silver in big air. "If the opportunity came about I think it would be fun", he told Us, adding that although he may have an upper hand being a skater, "all is fair in love in war".
Rippon, a Pennsylvania native originally from Scranton, earned a bronze medal at the Pyeongchang Olympics, making him the first openly gay American athlete to do so. "So that would definitely be something challenging".
ABC previously announced 10 athletes will vie for theDancing with the Stars: Athletes mirrorball trophy next season and the cast will officially be revealed live on Good Morning America on April 13.
The all-athlete rendition of Dancing with the Stars will be a mini-season that's only four weeks long.
