Senior Erik Scharlau had a solid season as a junior when he hit.303 with three doubles and 16 RBIs; with the graduation of Dane Heberlein, Scharlau will be behind the plate and also play some first base. Parsippany opened a 2-0 lead in the second inning on Victoria Freire's RBI single to right and added another run when Julia Del Viscio scored on Michelle Ebel's ground out to short. Lea Credidio ignited the Lakers' rally with a double to left center.

Cook is a sprinter who was the GR champion in the 100 a year ago with a time of:11.45, while he also took second at the league meet in the 200 with a:23.81; Cook was fourth in both the 100 and 200 at the Class C meet as a junior and is also coming off of a strong indoor season. Junior pitcher Amber Van Duyse pitched a complete game, giving up six runs, four of them earned.
