When opening the app between today and Wednesday, April 4, you'll see Waldo hiding in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. Google Assistant users can also open the app and start the game by asking, "Where's Waldo?".

What's neat about this gag is that it isn't just an April Fools announcement of a product or service that doesn't actually exist, like Google has done in the past, but an actual game integrated within Google Maps. Upon tapping Waldo, users will then be given the option to start the game and begin searching for the famed peppermint-designed protagonist.

The new language additions are coming to the mobile and desktop versions of Google Maps on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows OS. It invites you on an April Fool's world tour. You can come, too-all you have to do is find me! The company is now pushing its Google Assistant feature.

The search giant (as Waldo) further explains, "The fun doesn't stop there".

Once the user spots Waldo, they will be transported to places all around the world, where they can search for Waldo over and over again. To keep you a little bit busier, you can also look for Waldo's friends Wenda, Woof, Wizard Whitebeard, and apparently his nemesis Odlaw.

The limited time feature saw Mario get in his favourite kart and follow the route you were taking on your drive on Google Maps.
