Joseph Parker's next fight on the Joshua v Wilder undercard?

The best since Tyson Anthony Joshua will continue knockout roadshow against Joseph Parker

Anthony Joshua will be putting his undefeated record on the line against Joseph Parker

DEONTAY WILDER CANCELLED a media call with the United Kingdom press this evening, instead releasing a prepared statement within which he thanked fellow heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua for proposing a fight between the pair following his points victory over Joseph Parker on Saturday night.

Whyte is also on the cards and has also expressed his interested in a showdown with Wilder after challenging him following his victory over Lucas Browne last month, but he may need to wait for Joshua to make his move before getting his wish.

Talks over a world heavyweight title unification fight between Anthony Joshua and American Deontay Wilder could start as early as this week.

"We want to make it public that Deontay wants the fight, and we are prepared to come over, or meet here and get the deal done", American Shelly Finkel said.

Finkel also added that he will contact Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, in the days ahead to begin discussions.

For Joshua, this leaves only one belt left to obtain and become the undisputed Heavyweight champion.

"I want Wilder. Get him in the ring and I'll knock him spark out Joshua said in the ring immediately after judges had scored the fight 118-110, 118-110, 119-109 in his favour".

On Anthony Joshua's victory over Parker at the 78,000 capacity Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Obisia said: "I know that Joshua has all it takes to beat anybody in that part of the world".

They questioned the Italian's suitability for taking charge of such a big fight given what they said was his poor grasp of English.

Joshua poked and prodded Parker from all angles, largely staying clear of trouble thanks to his much-improved mobility.

"I'm gonna go for a run now that I'm in good shape".

Joshua stopped Breazeale when the two fought two years ago and Hearn believes that his withdrawal from an IBF elimination fight with Kubrat Pulev stems from a possible fight with Wilder.

Joshua Parker said he wanted a war, but it was all about boxing finesse. A unification fight with Wilder is the biggest fight on the table and in the sport at the moment.

"If Wilder then fights in June or July against Breazeale, then our fight with Wilder would not take place until November or December". He's a superstar on the level of Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, and all he needs to do is instruct Hearn that he wants Wilder. Beyond Wilder and Povetkin, the most risky tests are rematches against Parker and British rival Dillian Whyte.
