Sanchez Explains Why Man Utd Have Not Seen Him At His Best

Jamie Redknapp believes Manchester United's 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur could prove a turning point in the careers of Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez.

Mourinho's man booked their place in the FA Cup final after goals from Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera cancelled out Dele Alli's opener.

Sanchez has since admitted he has found it tough adapting to life in Manchester, but promised United fans they will see the best of him next season. It's been hard, I think next year we have to go for it.

'I arrived at a big club and I changed everything from before.

"I tell Alexis or Paul [Pogba] the same a couple of weeks ago", Mourinho said.

"He just tried to help me improve". He asks me to play a free role, to enjoy myself, to attack, defend - to do everything! "I can not expect my players to be man of the match every match, I can not expect them to scores goals every match, I can not expect them to be flawless every match". Now I am very happy for the team, for the goal, for the attitude that we showed in this game.

"It will give me confidence". I hope to demonstrate more.

"We need those kind of demands to get the best out of us". Have your say in the comments section below.

Pogba and Sanchez both started the last-four clash despite speculation before the FA Cup tie suggesting that Mourinho would drop his two big-name players.

Sanchez scored a crucial goal against Spurs.

Manchester United signed Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window as Armenia worldwide Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved to the Gunners. "At first I was thinking of heading to the first post but then I saw the goalkeeper go that way so I changed my mind and headed it back across him".

"He is a coach that demands a lot, and when we lose he gets very angry", Sanchez continued.

While Sanchez revealed he has sent Arsene Wenger a message of thanks, describing him as "a gentleman and a great coach", he clearly feels working with Mourinho will bring him the big prizes he craves.

"What can we take from this season?"
