The Dallas Police confirmed earlier in the evening that the two officer were in critical condition.

The city did not intend at this time to release the names of the officers or their medical status at the hospital because that would be inconsiderate to the families, the mayor said. The TV station described both officers as "rookies in their 20s" and said one of them was shot in the back of the head.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott also tweeted about the shooting, saying his thoughts and prayers were with the officers. "Please pray for our officers and their families", according to the Tweets.
Also, multiple agencies are assisting in the investigation, she said, including local, state and federal agencies.

Police had been searching for 29-year-old Armando Luis Juárez, who was identified as a person of interest in the officer-involved shooting in northern Dallas.
An officer-involved shooting has been reported at a Home Depot located in the 11600 block of Forest Central Drive in Dallas.
Several Home Depot employees told WFAA that there was a ruckus behind the store and that they heard gunshots.
"We're asking you to continue praying for our officers", Hall said.
