Tiger Woods always takes a good bit of time off after the Masters, and this year is no different.

Tiger Woods, one of the most decorated golfers of all time, is expected to tee off in the Queen City next week, according to a report from NBC's Golf Central.

This makes two back-to-back appearances in May for Woods in May, as the golfer also announced Thursday that he will be playing in next weekend's Wells Fargo Championship.

This will be his seventh start in the tournament at Quail Hollow, which hosted last year's PGA Championship won by Justin Thomas. He was second at the Valspar Championship and fifth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational before finishing tied for 32nd at the Masters.

And Wells Fargo Golf replied: "We are so excited to have our 2007 champion back to the Queen City!" In six Charlotte starts, he has finished third (2004), 11th (2005), fourth (2009) and missed the cut in 2010 and 2012.

"The run-up to this event is pretty hard and pretty grueling".

Woods' late spring and summer will likely include the Wells Fargo, The Players, the Memorial, the U.S. Open, the National and the Open with maybe a few changes here or there.
