Toronto rebounded after losing Games 3 and 4 on the road to take a 3-2 series lead back to Washington for Game 6 on Friday night.

"Y'all have seen how we play when our backs are against the wall".

"We've gotta pretty much get it out of [his] hands".

That consistency has deserted them in the District of Columbia. He is averaging 28 points per game while shooting at 44% from the field, and is also dishing out five assists.

Washington's John Wall reacts after missing a shot during Game 5 on Wednesday. While the drama of that one would be hard to match in this Game 6, the Wizards would happily take the same result to give themselves a chance to steal a Game 7 on the road on Sunday. With their win on Wednesday, the Raptors are 14-10 (.583) at home over the same period. You may have heard something about that.

Casey said the losses were uncharacteristic of how the Raptors have played on the road this season.

Another Wizards ancillary player who will need to step up will be Markieff Morris who has done a good job of setting the tone for the team emotionally and started the wave of "bully ball" in Game 3 against the Raptors that saw the Wizards players being more physical and taking the fight to the Raptors instead of waiting to be hit first.

It was Toronto's second unit that asserted itself to begin the second quarter, forcing Wizards head coach Scott Brooks to put Wall back into the game. "Just like Delon (Wright) doesn't play well anywhere else, you know, other than at home. you can kind of chalk it up as the same story".

"I mean, naw, you don't really notice it".

After suffering back-to-back losses in Washington over the weekend, the Raptors returned to Toronto and defended their home court Wednesday night, beating the Wizards 108-98 to seize a 3-2 series lead. He shot just 31.2 percent from long range in the regular season, but is shooting threes at a 45.5 percent clip in the playoffs.

Wright scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, and Valanciunas had 14 points and 13 rebounds as the Raptors improved to 5-0 in home Game 5s over the past five years. That's a significant difference.

As the Raptors look towards game six, there are still several adjustments that need to be made. The Raptors treated Game 1 like their Game 7, and tonight's Game 5 is just as important. These were the opportunities that prompt most National Basketball Association perimeter players to salivate in anticipation of being fed the finest of open looks on a silver platter.

Then, as he walked off the media podium, Wright added, "I've got a quote ready for (Oubre) after we win", according to Lewenberg.

Ujiri said last summer that he was exhausted of the playoff disappointments and that they were finished with that iteration of the Raptors. It's that by doing so, it allows the whole offensive system to function as it has been designed.

Early on it was all DeMar DeRozan. He had five assists. Ball control has always been one of this team's biggest strengths, so their turnover woes have likely discouraged them from zipping the ball around these last couple games, and that's getting them away from what worked so well for them this season during their "culture reset".

"[Valanciunas] before, in another life, we used to show a lot and get him up there", Casey said of the strategy. If not, it's going to be a tough night.
