Childish Gambino Debuts New Song 'Saturday' on SNL

Childish Gambino brought his unique musical style to Saturday Night Live, and fans had some things to say.

Glover and his group of survivors slowly track to safety but as more of West's tweets come out all hell breaks loose. His actions have amusing and deadly consequences, as the group can't help themselves when it comes to hearing what 'Ye has to say.

"Saturday Night Live" took on "A Quiet Place" with a taped segment on the May 5 episode in which shocked reactions to Kanye West's increasingly wild tweets kept getting cast members killed.

Among all the music, however, was some Star Wars.

The skit was really just a way to comment on the lack of black people in the Star Wars galaxy. In the prequel film, out May 25, the actor stars as Lando Calrissian, a longtime friend of Han Solo and the original owner of the Millennium Falcon. The vibe was particularly upbeat and reminiscent of Harry Belafonte's "Day-O".

"This is America. Don't catch you slippin' now", sings Glover. One of which, "This Is America", was accompanied by a Hiro Murai-directed music video.

As it stands, Donald Glover is set to appear in New Zealand later this year where he is expected to be performing new music as part of his Pharos concert experience.

And while Donald Glover did a great job playing a range of characters many viewers were also excited to see Stormy Daniels in the SNL opening sketch. Glover will probably use his musical talents in multiple sketches and we wouldn't be shocked if he did some sort of spoof on Atlanta, his hit FX show that has become an Emmy darling.
