Seaman, who is also a football coach at the school, was shot in the stomach, hip and arm.
A science teacher at an IN middle school saved lives when he threw a basketball at a student who opened fire IN his classroom, a witness said. He told ABC News that Seaman threw a basketball at the shooter and ran toward the bullets as screaming students sought cover behind a table.
"It's just a shock he would do something like that", Stonebraker said.
"[The gunman] took about four to five maybe six shots, one of them hitting a girl that was about 10 feet from me", a student who asked not to be identified told CBS4 in Indianapolis. She's an 8th grader and one of the 1,400 terrified students in the middle school.

"I have no words because it was such an unbelievable act of caring", she said.

Seamans' mother is also sharing her son's condition on her social media. He said his girlfriend's sister was in a classroom adjacent to the shooting.
