The 46-year-old began his acclimatization ahead of the 2018/19 season after replacing Arsene Wenger who was in charge of the Gunners for 22 years.
Emery is keen on changing Arsenal's approach in games after the Gunners went trophy-less and failed to secure a Champions League qualification this season. "We play against all the teams with this personality, with I think the history here is one".
Emery impressively conducted his first press conference in English on Wednesday, and he will now work towards getting Arsenal "back among Europe's elite".
"There's a great spirit in the team, it was a pleasure to work with them, there's great potential in the team, somebody coming in and having time will fight for the championship".
If nothing else, Emery will oversee plenty of change at Arsenal, and after almost 22 years of Wenger's tutelage, that will be enough for some.
But Wenger has no regrets and was more than happy with his Arsenal career.
"I have met Stan and Josh Kroenke and it's clear they have great ambitions for the club and are committed to bringing future success".
"All the way going through the process, Raul and I and Sven spoke to each other as little as possible, because we didn't want to pollute each other's viewpoints from the discussions we had", Gazidis said. But at that time the daily involvement for me was important. "With this talent of player, we be a candidate to be a challenger for the title". I just felt that it was a very sensitive period for Arsenal Football Club.
He added: "At the end of the day, I said no once, twice".
