"Marvel.is definitely sort of in the works".
According to Marvel president Kevin Feige, one of these characters is a Pakistan-Muslim female superhero named Kamala Khan but known as Ms Marvel and fans really want Priyanka Chopra to play the part.
What makes Ms. Marvel (whose real name is Kamala Khan) so fantastic is that not only is she a great female superhero, but she's Muslim as well.
After the release of Marvel's "Black Panther" (based on an African-American superhero) led to an incredible box-office collection worldwide, Marvel Studios has announced to make another film, featuring a Pakistani-Muslim female superhero.
We're being treated to Brie Larson's Captain Marvel in April 2019 and now Ms Marvel may also break into the MCU. She chose the name in honor of her idol Carol Danvers, who went by that name before she became Captain Marvel.
However, Chopra, who is sort of in the Marvel universe already due to her voice role in the mobile video game "Marvel: Avengers Academy", is Indian, a detail that some fans pointed out.
Kamala Khan or Miss Marvel is a 16-year-old teenager who lives with her conservative Pakistani parents and brother in New Jersey.
But Sheza tweeted: "We are here for Priyanka Chopra playing the role. We have plans for that once we introduce Captain Marvel".
Movie bosses are planning to follow up the forthcoming Captain Marvel film with a standalone Ms. Marvel project. In case you have forgotten, Priyanka Chopra played a superhero from the Marvel universe in 2016. Typically, though, we shouldn't expect Marvel to give too much away until the movie hits screens next year. The contracts for the original Avengers begin to reach their end with Infinity War and Avengers 4. Kamala Khan could certainly swoop in somewhere down the line.
