T.I. was ready to fight the security guard who gave him grief when he tried to enter his own gated community. this according to the police report. T.I. denied that anything became physical.

As we reported, he was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. The guard would not let him into the community without a key.

Despite the argument, T.I. was eventually allowed past the gate and went home.

The guard told cops he felt threatened and called police. James said T.I. started using profanity and yelled at him to open the gate, the report said.

T.I, or Harris, 38, posted a video from his son's 10th birthday party Wednesday, saying he had been "inconvenienced and arrested" Wednesday morning.

The officer said in the report that he smelled "overwhelming" alcohol on T.I.'s breath, and that the rapper admitted he had a drink while walking back to the guard's shack.

T.I. has issued a statement through his attorney addressing his drunken on Wednesday. When things escalated, T.I. called his friend, Marquinarius Holmes, 40, who was arrested on outstanding charges from Clayton County and for not having proof of vehicle insurance, the sheriff's office told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Holmes was arrested on outstanding charges out of Clayton County and for not having proof of vehicle insurance.

Attorney Steve Sadow said in a statement that when T.I. arrived at the guardhouse at his community outside Atlanta early Wednesday, it took "some time to wake up the sleeping guard".

According to Tip, his arrest is ultimately a result of calling out his gated community's security guard for sleeping on the job. He has been released without bail. Tip clearly identified himself and sought entry. "With all we been through this is small potatoes, man". "The guard refused entry". "The guard continued to refuse entry without justification. When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing [T.I.]'s side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting [him]".

On Instagram live, T.I. didn't explain what happened but called it "nonsense".
