Enhance Games will be using its considerable knowledge of light and sound to create an experience where the music, backgrounds, sounds, special effects - basically everything - even down to the Tetris pieces themselves, pulse, dance, shimmer, and explode in flawless sync with how the videogame is played.
Tetris Effect is created to be totally immersive.
This version of Tetris will include features and modes fans are accustomed to, including Marathon (play until you die), Sprint (everything is faster), and Ultra (play with a time limit). A new mechanic called Zone is also coming in Tetris Effect, making it possible to stop time to avoid losing a game or clear a higher number of lines at once, though it's unclear how this works. It's described as a new take on the legendary tile-matching puzzle game, one meant to "amplify and enhance that same magical feeling where you just can't get it out of your head, and not just the falling shapes, but all the visuals, the sounds, the music - everything!"
There will also be a player grading and levelling system, as well as various difficulties to to add to replayability.
