"As of today, our Turkish soldiers have also begun their duty in Manbij".
For the last five years Alhaji and his six children have taken refuge in Reyhanli in Turkey's southern province of Hatay. The Manbij Military Council is affiliated to the USA -backed and YPG-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Syria.
"Only their clothes are different", Alhaji said.

The deal focuses on the withdrawal of the PKK-affiliated YPG terror group from the northern Syrian city of Manbij and on stability in the region.
"Daesh executed six people close to me in Manbij, and 10 others were killed by the regime in various places in Syria", he said. This is to be followed by the Turkish Army and Turkish and United States special forces assuming a monitoring role, which will last for 45 days after the 13 June meeting held between Çavuşoğlu and his USA counterpart Mike Pompeo.
Ankara and Washington had agreed to a roadmap on June 4th for the withdrawal of the YPG terror group from Syria's Manbij and for USA and Turkish forces to carry out patrols in line with the agreed-upon deal.
'Turkey is a main driving force to end conflicts, build trust and humanitarian aid, it is the key country in all matters related to Syria, included the return of its citizens home, ' the foreign minister said.
By the end of last year, Syria's seven-year conflict alone had pushed more than 6.3 million people out of the country, accounting for almost one-third of the global refugee population.
