Thanks to the secrecy surrounding the Star Wars franchise we have no idea what Lando will be up to when we catch up with him in Episode IX, but at the very, very least we expect a lot more space capes.

The character is one of the more popular personages in the Star Wars universe and appeared in a major way in this years Solo: A Star Wars Story. Following Colin Trevorrow's exit over creative differences, Abrams - who directed The Force Awakens - was asked to return to direct Episode IX.
The actor, who famously played the galactic gambler Lando Calrissian, will reprise the role for Star Wars: Episode IX, the next Star Wars installment from Lucasfilm. Donald Glover stepped into the role earlier this year to play a younger Lando in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Williams reportedly cancelled a scheduled attendance at an upcoming sci-fi and pop culture convention due to scheduling conflicts with filming on Star Wars: Episode IX, which is set to begin at the end of this month.
The film, directed by J.J. Abrams, is set for release December 20, 2019, with filming expected to start soon.
There's no doubt that Williams is eager to reprise the role.
