The boys spent the time regaining their strength with food and drink and learning to dive for the risky mission, while rescuers pumped as much water as possible from the lengthy network of caverns.

Eight of the boys were brought out on stretchers over the first two days - four on Sunday and four on Monday.
Two of the boys are being treated for potential lung infections - but they're expected to make a full recovery.

The boys remain in quarantine but some of their parents have been able to see their children through the glass. Those evacuated so far have been taken to hospital in Chiang Rai for treatment and observation. Officials said the first mission lasted about 11 hours, while the second mission was two hours faster. They entered the cave after a soccer practice and soon found themselves trapped when heavy rains flooded the complex.
