Supporters of President Donald Trump are mad online because Walmart, until recently, sold an anti-Trump shirt. Walmart has apparently responded to the outrage by taking down any clothing or paraphernalia related to the impeachment of Trump or Obama.
The shirt was not sold directly by Walmart but through its open marketplace by a third-party seller, Walmart said in a tweet to Fournier Tuesday afternoon.
But the accusations miss a crucial fact about how Walmart runs its website, or more specifically, its third-party marketplace, where the items appeared. He asked the company in a tweet, "What kind of message are you trying to send?"
And he said the idea of impeaching the 45th U.S. president went a step further than the MAGA gear, which expressed support for Trump and could be offset by equivalent products on behalf of Democrats.
According to the International Business Times, Ryan Fournier, chairman of the group Students for Trump, found the clothing item in the website and was the first to report it. The company also sells a wide range of pro-Trump merchandise, including a substantial number of "Make America Great Again" hats.
Walmart, not long ago, was in trouble with liberals as well for a shirt it soldthat read "Rope".
As I write this, Walmart has not yet commented on the t-shirts being sold online. "Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required", after facing massive backlash.
If you noticed #BoycottWalmart trending on Twitter today, you could be forgiven for thinking the left had shifted its attention from ICE to big box stores.
