Tottenham make £25m bid to sign 22-year-old

Tottenham will move into a new 62,000-seater stadium in September after playing their first "home" game against Fulham at Wembley Stadium where they lodged last season.

Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele were all expected to leave this summer, and they still could if they are willing to move overseas.

"I think we have a very competitive squad, of course that we are hoping to improve, but if you can not improve the most important thing is trying to keep your best team, your best players".

The alternative is to re-integrate Alderweireld into the Tottenham squad, and start making him a key player once again.

"I am the boss and if I expect you to do something then you need to provide it".

Reflecting on the transfer window, the manager again praised the importance of keeping Kane, as well as making sure Pochettino himself stuck around.

"It's true our targets are always the same level as Manchester United, Manchester City or Real Madrid but for different circumstances we can't achieve that".

Pochettino said: "I don't have news now and to do so before the deadline would be so hard".

"What the club is doing is showing it is so fearless", he offered.

'I am happy to keep all the squad together, there were many rumours during the summer about players out, ' he said.

But Pochettino believes all three are at risk of losing focus and has urged them to forget about their futures and contribute to Tottenham's season instead.

"Of course it's hard to understand for people in football that Tottenham didn't sign or sell players, but sometimes in football you need to behave differently", he said in his press conference earlier today, as per The Mirror.

"The most important thing is we're so positive and of course we're going to challenge for big things this season too".
