Aaron Rodgers returns to lead Pack to win against Bears

Rodgers went down awkwardly after being sacked by Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris. He wasn't putting much weight on his left leg as he left, but walked back onto the field to start the second half. The Bears came out and earned their first 10-point lead over the Packers since 2007, with Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky looking sharp.

The team announced at halftime that the two-time NFL MVP quarterback was questionable to return with a knee injury.

After a Packers stop on defense, Rodgers struck again, this time leading a methodical drive down the field before finding Davante Adams for another score.

The loss overshadowed an impressive performance by new Bears pass rusher Khalil Mack. Packers backup quarterback DeShone Kizer entered the game with 6:44 to play in the second quarter.

Rodgers initially remained down on the field where he was attended to by trainers before walking gingerly off the field and entering the medical tent.

Rodgers missed nine games last season due to a collarbone injury.

The Bears would then mount a time-consuming drive that resulted in a field goal, giving Chicago a 23-17 lead and leaving the Packers to drive the length of the field with just under three minutes left and no timeouts. He has thrown an interception returned for a 27-yard touchdown by Bears linebacker Khalil Mack.

According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, it was the same knee Rodgers suffered a torn ACL with in high school at Pleasant Valley.

"It was going to have to take something really catastrophic injury-wise to keep me off the field in the second half", Rodgers said. He broke Prince Amukamara's ankles and scored from 12 yards out after making a short catch, faking inside and breaking it back outside, but only after he completed a spinning catch for 51 yards three plays earlier. With a slight limp and clearly protecting his left leg, Rodgers led Green Bay to four consecutive scoring drives in rallying the Packers to victory. We know they were watching.
