Bachelor Nation Protests New Leading Man

I wasn't true to who I was, and I feel like people think I'm less of a man because of that.

Colton Underwood is the new Bachelor. I'm very excited. Third time's the charm, that's what they say, right?

"That's what I'm looking for ... being engaged and then getting married shortly after that", Underwood said, per People. During this time, he pursued a relationship with Tia Booth-another Bachelor contestant who appeared on Arie Luyendyk's season and briefly dated Underwood before he went on Kufrin's season.

Another called Colton "an opportunist" and many more said they would not be tuning into the new season in January. "Thank you for teaching me even more about myself, and most importantly, for your friendship that I know will continue far beyond Paradise", he wrote.

Colton Underwood spent three seasons attempting to find an National Football League team. He also isn't the only virgin to compete on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.

ICYMI, Underwood first appeared on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette in spring 2018, where he poignantly confessed he was a virgin. He was eliminated by Becca in that episode.

During the Bachelor in Paradise reunion taping last week, Tia opened up about rumors that Colton might be our next Bachelor - and didn't seem too excited by the idea. She added a few hashtags including #peaceoutparadise and #hotdogsforever, and it sounds as if this Bachelor in Paradise contestant is relieved that everybody finally knows where things stand for her in regards to Colton.

After that, he and Tia were one of the most solid couples in Paradise, until Monday's show when he revealed to Canadian Kevin Wendt that he was having second thoughts about their future and realized she wasn't the one for him. 'He played professionally for three teams before an injury forced him to retire.
