Christine Blasey Ford has accused Kavanaugh of committing sexual assault against her more than three decades ago when both were at a party in their high school years.
"If the Federal Bureau of Investigation or any law enforcement agency requests Mr. Judge's cooperation, he will answer any and all questions posed to him", Judge's lawyer Barbara Van Gelder told CNBC in an email.
In her testimony yesterday, Ford said it could have been Judge who pushed her into the bedroom where the alleged sexual assault occurred.
Despite Democrats' calls for Judge to be brought before the Senate Judiciary Committee to testify as a witness, Republicans declined to bring him before the committee. "I categorically deny them", Judge, a recovering alcoholic, said in the letter. Barbara Van Gelder, an attorney for Kavanaugh's friend Mark Judge, said her client would cooperate with relevant law enforcement into allegations from Julie Swetnick, the client of high-profile attorney Michael Avenatti. "Trump can withdraw Judge Kavanaugh's nomination". "I have never engaged in any gang rape of any woman, including Ms. Swetnick".
"We have told the Committee that I do not want to comment about these events publicly".
He reiterated that statement in another letter sent to the Judiciary Committee on Thursday.
The Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday, following a vote in the affirmative to recommend Kavanaugh's nomination to the full Senate for a vote, has requested a delay in order for a week-long FBI investigation into the allegations.
"I've never seen anything like this before in a Senate or any congressional hearing, and I haven't heard any good explanation for why they didn't have the Federal Bureau of Investigation try to track down all the details before they held the hearing", Beermann said.
