One of the most striking features of the Xiaomi Poco F1 is that it features a notched IPS LCD screen of 6.18 inches that offers an impressive screen space. It consists an infrared lighting, scanning the face and a separate lens that reads the light that bounces off from the face. Also retained is a rear mounted fingerprint sensor that's mounted at the bottom of its camera module.
The POCO F1 offers the LiquidCool technology which is a flagship exclusive feature. The back of the phone is made out of hard-coated polycarbonate that's is soft to touch and provides a better grip. The Poco F1 is a ridiculously well priced smartphone with a starting price of Rs. 20,999 ( Rs. 1000 cash back for HDFC card holders) with great specifications that will trouble a lot of other brands. But the Mi 8 might still be too expensive for some Asian markets. The phone allows real -time AI-photography. The two brands also have a lot of under-the-hood optimisations for enhanced performance. It offers 8 hours of gaming, around 6 hours of FHD video playback, almost 31 hours of talk time and standby time of 15 days.
The Kevlar version of Xiaomi Poco F1 will be sold at Rs 29,999
All-in-all, the Poco F1 is shaping up to be a flagship killer phone and will redefine the budget premium market, just like the Xiaomi Mi 3 series debut in India in 2014. The storage can be further expandable up to 256GB microSD. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI on top. It includes a Poco launcher and Turbocharged engine for fast and fluid performance. Another area where the Poco F1 shines is in the battery segment as the phone sports a 4000mAh unit, which along with MIUI for POCO optimisations will deliver excellent battery life. Apps can also be categorized in terms of icon colors as well. Optics wise, the Poco F1 rocks dual cameras on the back- a 12MP Sony IMX 363 sensor is paired with a 5MP secondary depth sensor. There is also a 20-megapixel camera on the front that does a lot of pixel binning to achieve high quality selfies. For connectivity, this phone offers options of Dual 4G+ VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, 3.5mm audio jack GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C port.
The first sale of the Xiaomi Poco F1 will take place on 29 August at 12 PM on Mi.com and Flipkart. POCO has constantly focused on "speed" on all of its teasers of the POCO F1 and the smartphone has some neat tricks to achieve that claim. The 6/64GB variant will be Rs 21,000. while the 6/128GB combo will cost Rs 24,000.
