Download: iOS 12.1 Beta 3 Released For iPhone And iPad

Apple iPad users will notice that the "123" number key on the tablet's virtual QWERTY keyboard is back at its pre-iOS 12 location.

There's now no word on whether iOS 12.0.1 fixes the bug that caused mediocre LTE speeds on iPhone XS devices, as it wasn't listed in Apple's release notes.

iOS 12.1 beta 3 comes one week after Apple seeded the last beta build to developers. Also fixed is an issue that'd cause the iPhone XS to connect to a rejoin a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network over a 5GHz Wi-Fi network.

The early unofficial statistics show that Apple has managed to capture the attention of device owners as far as iOS 12 is concerned. Instead, they'd only do so if the screen was active when the charging was initiated.

The new version of iOS should fix several issues people have been reporting including that, at least in some instances, a device didn't start charging when it was connected to a Lightning cable.

The new software also tackles a WiFi annoyance that some users had been reporting. It also addresses problems with video subtitles and Bluetooth being unavailable.

The other changes in iOS 12.0.1 address more minor issues.

The update should be available to all users now, and users who have Automatic Updates enabled-a new feature in iOS 12-should receive the update overnight if their devices are connected to Wi-Fi and connected to a power source.
