Selena Gomez has entered a mental health facility after an "emotional breakdown" over recurring issues that followed her kidney transplant, according to reports. A source told ET that the 26-year-old singer has been suffering from depression since undergoing a kidney transplant last year.

She was released from the hospital after a few days, but had to be re-admitted after the symptoms persisted.
It was in 2014 that Selena Gomez first sought treatment, after she was diagnosed with lupus.
She was reportedly thrown into a "downward emotional spiral" afterward, and on the second occasion, she was told by doctors that she would not be allowed to leave the hospital.
A family member rushed her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles where she received medical treatment and was despondent and emotional throughout, E! She said on September 23 she was leaving social media. For the first time on mental health problems Selena Gomez media began to talk in the beginning of 2018.
Selena will bounce back from this like she always does.
She wrote, "Update: taking a social media break". She said she had been depressed for the past five years. "I'm in chemotherapy. You're a-holes.' I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again".
When one fan asked for tips about their anxiety, she said, "I get this feeling where I start sweating in places cause I'm nervous".
TMZ is reporting that Gomez is receiving dialectical behavior therapy, or DBT, which is a cognitive behavioral treatment. After years of rumours about a substance abuse problem, Gomez also did a brief stint at a rehab clinic - though her publicity team blamed it on exhaustion.
