Spider-Man PS4 Pays Tribute to Sam Raimi's Movie Trilogy

The Spider-Man Marriage Easter Egg is so Tragic That It May Be Patched Out

Spider-Man’s In-Game Marriage Proposal Has Gone Horribly Wrong

Rumor has it, according to an in-game tweet-esque message from Ted Price, founder of Insomniac Games, that they will be announcing a game next week.

Now that Marvel's Spider-Man game for the PS4 is out in the world, fans everywhere have spent the last few days web-slinging around the open world of New York City, taking in all the side-quests and Easter eggs that are hidden throughout. "Basically throwing away the five years that we had together and spitting in my face basically, saying this isn't even the way she wanted to be proposed to, and left me".

It's anyone's guess if Insomniac will end up releasing a patch to cover up the proposal, as Schultz said that "it's a nice little reminder too, you know, the nearly mistake that I made". Tyler Schultz, who had contacted Insomniac with the idea, is now part of what the internet is calling the "saddest video game easter egg".

Fans seem to agree that this being immortalized into such a popular game is a sore spot. One person who probably wished they didn't know the game was released was a man who reached out to Insomniac to help him plan a special surprise for his partner.

The story doesn't end there, though.

The Art Director for the game, Jacinda Chew, offered to release a patch for the game updating the marquee to something less. well, depressing.

In the side mission "Spider-Men", the fake Spider-Man said that he trains at Chikara Dojo, which is the dojo owned by Colleen Wing. Since then Connor has come to love all things nerd culture, with a passion for Playstation, third-person shooters, and JRPGs.
