Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and along with tables full of food, that also means the arrival of the shopping holiday known as Black Friday. We looked at 59 deals from Currys PC World, 18 deals from Amazon, 14 from John Lewis and three from Argos.
Sky News' money-saving expert Coupon Kid has shared his tips for maximising savings, which includes shopping online, haggling down further, and checking Amazon's historical pricing.
Even when extending the period of "Black Friday" to the two weeks surrounding the day itself, we found that 76% of products were still cheaper or the same price at other times in the year, and 74% could be picked up for the same price or less in the six months afterwards. Expect to see sales on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Nintendo Eshop, Steam, and other PC storefronts like Humble, Fanatical, and Green Man Gaming.
If you're not sure if the deal you're considering on Cyber Monday is a good one, it's wise to check the item's price history to see how low it has gone in the past and how often it tends to go on sale. Which? found it was cheaper on at least 60 occasions after.
LG brand 60in 4K TV was advertised at £799 by Amazon on Black Friday.
Yet the price listed on Amazon for the TV was nearly £50 below that figure on at least 62 occasions after Black Friday.
Currys PC World customers were told they could save £10 on a Sony compact camera advertised as £189 on Black Friday. Which? found it was £10 cheaper at least 27 times in June and July 2017.
More than a third of Britons are expected to make a purchase in a Black Friday promotion this week.
Responding to the investigation, Amazon insisted that thousands of "incredible deals" available on its website around Black Friday represent "millions of pounds of savings" for customers.
"With Cyber Monday, we've noticed that it's kind of morphed into a extended Black Friday weekend because in stores a lot of the deals are recycled", says Phillip Dengler, head of editorial and content marketing at BestBlackFriday.com, another deal-spotting site.
And remember, prices fluctuate all year round, so don't feel rushed into buying straight away.
So what's the secret?
Specifically, it is planning to hold a four day "shopping" event.

Yet, many popular products, like fitness trackers and kettles, didn't show a clear trend - making the best time to buy them, whenever there's a good discount.
An Argos spokesperson said that offering discounts on products on Black Friday did not mean those items were necessarily excluded from other promotions throughout the year. This year, that list is perhaps a bit smaller, as retailers have once again begun remaining closed on Thanksgiving before opening their doors on Black Friday.
Don't panic - Don't worry about missing out on a good offer as the research has revealed that you could be better off waiting until after Black Friday anyway.
