Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0 has broken nearly all the records at the box office, except the ones set by the biggest blockbuster ever, Baahubali: The Conclusion. As of now, the total collection of the Hindi version of the film in two days stands at Rs 38.25 crore.
The Hindi version of 2.0 picked up pace at the box office as it entered the weekend, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Directed by Shankar, 2.0 has Rajinikanth returning in the double role of Dr Vaseegaran and robot Chitti. The sci-fi movie was released in over 10,500 screens, which is a staggering screen count for an Indian movie.
Rajinikanth and Akshay's latest movie 2.0 has created hype as the film is doing great at the box office.
With third day box office collection for 2.0 from overseas and South Indian market, the film could easily get past the Rs 250 crore-mark even before its first weekend is over. Baahubali 2 had earned more on the second day than that its first day collections. Film day-1 Collection was good, Day-2 has a All Ind drop of appx 15%. In TN as a whole, the film has grossed close to 18 CR which is Rajini's 2nd best opener in the state below Kabali, but Shankar's career best. The occupancy rates in the Hindi belt were better than the opening day which helped the mega-budget to do good collection. With Sunday still in the kitty, the movie is expected to see blockbuster figures coming its way as the word-of-mouth is highly positive. India biz. Note: "HINDI version".
