Another Hall Of Famer Set To Appear On Tonight's WWE Raw

It is unknown what his role will be, but rumors are that he will be there to pay homage to his friend, Mean Gene Okerlund, who passed away earlier this week.

Their interviews together quickly became legendary, with Okerlund even teaming with Hogan in the ring in 1984.

Since the summer of 2015, Hogan has basically been blacklisted by WWE for making racist comments in a sex tape that was leaked online.

In March 2018, WWE confirmed it was in talks to bring Hogan back to the company and attempt to rehabilitate one of its most iconic characters after a 2015 video of him calling his daughter's then-boyfriend a "n--" surfaced.

Below is WWE's announcement on Hogan returning for RAW to honor Okerlund.

In the past 12 months, Hogan has publicly apologized and also addressed the WWE locker room.

"In my opinion, Gene Okerlund added more entertainment to the business than anybody". That happened at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in November.

Hogan took to Twitter on Tuesday night to eulogise Okerlund, describing his long-term pal as "the best partner I ever had". "Gene would ask me "hey big man what do u want to do?' I would always answer 'just follow you brother" and it worked from 1980 - 2017". With Hogan showing up on Raw, WWE gave him quite the platform, but with him returning only to say goodbye to Okerlund, it's not as easy to protest Hulkamania.

'RIP my brother HH, ' Hogan concluded.

- It does seem that Kenny Omega is done with New Japan Pro Wrestling as his deal was set to expire this month and he dropped the title in the main even of Wrestling Kingdom 13. If WWE did make such an offer, it would be to keep Omega from joining AEW.
