"Thank you so much".

Though it's her name on the album, Grande didn't do it alone, and she acknowledged this.

She also shared a photo of her younger self with a comically photoshopped image of a Grammy resting in her palm.

"I was also trying to be protective", she said. In view of her 60.7 million Twitter followers, Ariana tweeted: "trash", followed up by "f***" and said "bull****" in a third tweet.

"I think it's kind of rad that I just lost my 20th Grammy nomination", she posted.

She has since covered up the number with a tribute to her late boyfriend Mac Miller and his dog Myron.

In a further display to show she wasn't against Cardi B, when the rapper posted on Instagram after her win, Ariana liked it and added a few black hearts in the comments section. "I don't know if I'm good at anything else, but I understand artists and I can hear other artists in an artist", he said.

She bested fellow nominees Camila Cabello, Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes, P!nk, and Taylor Swift in the category. "Trust, I tried and still truly wished it had worked".

Pink, a three-time GRAMMY victor, tweeted that she was honored to be nominated but will be taking care of her sick child tonight instead of attending the ceremony.

This is the singer's first ever Grammy Award win. Ahead of the ceremony on Sunday, the Recording Academy announced that the songstress had won Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.

Meanwhile, Cardi B who did take to the stage on the big night, accepted her award for Best Rap Album for her debut Invasion of Privacy.

The Bronx rapper's debut studio album Invasion of Privacy beat Pusha-T (DAYTONA), Nipsey Hussle (Victory Lap), Travis Scott (ASTROWORLD), and the late Mac Miller (Swimming), who had dated Grande for almost two years.
