The Wales worldwide has agreed a pre-contract deal with the Italian champions and will join on a free transfer when his Arsenal deal expires at the end of the season.

"The Welshman will make the move from Arsenal in the summer, having signed a four-year contract with the Italian champions, tying him to the club until 2023".

Ramsey leaves Arsenal after nearly 11 years at the club, and it's believed he will earn £400,000 per week in Turin, making him the highest paid British player in the world. It is with a heavy heart I leave after 11 incredible years in north London.

The BBC had been reporting on the deal and it was confirmed on Monday that Ramsey will, in fact, be joining the Old Lady after 30 June 2019.

He has played more than 250 times for Arsenal, scoring 61 goals.

"Thank you. I will continue to give the team 100 per cent and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin".

Ramsey began his career at Cardiff City, making it his first team debut in 2007 before arriving at Arsenal in July 2008.

The 28-year-old joined the Gunners from Cardiff City 11 years ago, going on to win the FA Cup three times under former boss Arsene Wenger.

Other clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris St Germain, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, were linked with the player.

Following the announcement, Ramsey issued a statement himself on his social media account.
