"I remember past year when I didn't win for "Bodak Yellow" and everybody was like, 'Cardi got snubbed, ' " she also said.
Since Nicki seems to be the only one repping Young Money these days, her threat may not hold much weight on the way this year's awards weekend will play out.
Nicki did not take this well at all and hit Twitter to say "Young Money will no longer be a part of the BET Experience or award show".
She said in the now-deleted clip: I've been taking a lot of s##t today. Finally, we apologize to all of her fans.
A spokesperson for BET then issued the following statement: "BET loves Nicki Minaj. Nicki has paved the way for so many performers and has solidified her place as one of the most powerful figures in the music industry", the statement reads, according to TMZ.
This isn't the only Cardi B controversy to follow after the Grammy Awards.
Nicki Minaj posted her text message with Lil Wayne and he's supporting her decision to drop from the show. In it, the network said it "deeply apologizes for the hurt, disappointment and confusion" caused by the social media post. After BET's tweet, Minaj dropped out of two scheduled events for the network and Cardi B made it clear that she doesn't support tearing others down.
Nicki Minaj also encouraged her Barbz to get refunds for their tickets and laughed like a proud mama as they dragged BET...by their lacefront. I was bullied into staying quiet for seven years out of fear.
She was supposed to perform on the night but had a disagreement with Ken Ehrlich.
Also, CONGRATS to everyone who won last night. Cardi B, who won for Invasion of Privacy, is the first solo female rapper ever to win in the category.
