Boy band BTS to attend 2019 Grammy Awards as presenter

Variety broke the news about BTS's appearance on the Grammy Awards.

Aside from being a presenter, BTS could also win a Grammy.

Thanks to an unbelievable 2018, in which they became the first Korean act to top the Billboard album charts twice, there was some upset that the group did not get nominated for Best New Artist.

That means, in T-minus five days Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook will grace the red carpet, stage and TV on what's sure to be their first of many Grammy nights. The publication also didn't reveal the award details. It released two albums - "LOVE YOURSELF: Tear", "LOVE YOURSELF: Answer" - which started waves of BTS fever that has swept across the globe, mesmerizing tens of millions of music fans.

Performers of the night at the "61st Annual Grammy Awards" include Camila Cabello, Cardi B, H.E.R.

The group, which made their debut in 2013, are known for their blend of hip-hop with rock and pop elements. The art director of "Love Yourself: Tear" is HuskyFox.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Grammy Awards will be hosted by the American singer, Alicia Keys.

The rap superstar Kendrick Lamar leads the Grammys with eight nominations. Sources told Variety that Maroon 5, who is nominated for best pop duo/group performance for "Girls Like You", with Cardi B, may not attend Grammys 2019.

The 2019 Grammys will broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS on February 10, 2019, at 8 p.m. ET.
