She is also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance for "God is a Woman".

The 25-year-old singer was not at the show after she had a dispute with the producers and she watched from home.

The Bronx-born rapper made history at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday night by picking up the trophy for Best Rap Album, becoming the first solo female rapper to do so in the category's 20-plus year history.

Shortly after Cardi accepted the award, Grande hopped on Twitter to call the decision "literal bullshit" and "trash". Cardi said, after thanking her family and team members.

Grande later clarified that she was not dismissing Cardi's work, but was more upset that Miller wasn't honored posthumously-especially because the Recording Academy had invited his family to the ceremony.

In a not so typical speech, she joked her nerves were so bad "maybe I need to start smoking w**d". "Thank you @iamcardib for having me on stage with you at the Grammys and for graciously allowing me to add my style of music to yours!"

When Cardi won for Best Rap Album, Ari took to Twitter and tweeted the word "trash".

Cardi was escorted on stage by her husband Offset and it took her a couple moments to catch her breath and realize that she just won. "I can pull together a performance overnight, and you know that, Ken".

Grande has repeatedly paid homage to Miller since he died of an accidental overdose in September; she has posted photos and videos of him on Instagram and numerous songs on her new album, released on Friday, appear to be written about him.
