The Duchess of Sussex has been quick to learn the ropes and announced her first solo project just five months after her wedding to Prince Harry.
On Friday, she and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, visited the One25 organization in Bristol, which works to "reach out to women trapped in or vulnerable to street sex-work, supporting them to break free and build new lives away from violence, poverty and addiction".
"Because I would do the same", she said.
Messages written on fruit by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex when she was helping to prepare food parcels to go in the charity outreach van, are pictured at One25 in Bristol, Britain, Feb. 1, 2019.
Printing messages like "you are courageous", "you are strong", "you are loved", and "you are special" on the bananas, the Duchess surprised One25's kitchen volunteers with her spur-of-the-moment plan.
Markle wore one of her signature long black coats for the occasion with a pair of suede, olive green Sarah Flint boots (sarahflint.com; $695) peaking out from beneath the hem.
While many deemed Ms Markle's banana penmanship meaningful, other commentators weren't as convinced.
Meghan Markle is all heart.
He then asked: "Are you nice and warm in that?" as he admired one of the children's snowsuits and seemed amused that some of them seemed more excited by their snack of digestive biscuits than meeting royalty.
