The most exciting feature that OnePlus 7 is said to feature is support for 5G technology.

OnePlus actually confirmed a while back that its 5G smartphone will be quite a bit more expensive than its regular flagship, so it could cost $200-$300 more than the OnePlus 6T.

With major cellphone makers like Samsung, Apple, and Google lagging behind in the 5G-ready smartphone race, it seems OnePlus is planning to pick up the slack. It will run a Snapdragon 855 with a Qualcomm X50 modem, it will NOT be the OnePlus 7 and it is not expected to sell in large volumes.

Now, in terms of the design, we really do not know what to expect, as OnePlus may opt to differentiate this phone from the OnePlus 7 in terms of the design, so who knows what it will opt to do.

The smartphone is now available for general sales across all channels including, and Reliance Digital, Croma outlets and all OnePlus exclusive offline stores. OnePlus 5G Phone OnePlus has been talking about 5G for months, but with very little to show for it.

Hopefully anyway. There's no telling what changes might be made to the phone between now and release, and what's on show might not anything like what goes on sale later this year.

OnePlus has signaled multiple times in the past that it will be one of the first companies to launch a 5G smartphone in the market.

"We definitely have 5G planned for next year", Pei boasted, adding: "We will be the first, if not one of the first partners with Qualcomm to commercially launch 5G globally".

The announcement of the 5G demonstration at MWC was posted by XDA Developers.

Pei didn't confirm when we'd be seeing the device, but rumours are pointing to an unveiling at next year's MWC.
