The Grizzlies traded Gasol, 34, on Thursday at the National Basketball Association trade deadline with the center holding a $25 million option he can exercise this summer.

Gasol, 34, is averaging 15.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and a career-high 4.7 assists in 53 games this season.

With an hour to go before the National Basketball Association trade deadline, the Toronto Raptors have pulled the trigger on a major trade according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. InsideHoops.com exclusively spoke with three-time NBA All-Defensive team member Serge Ibaka and one-time NBA All-Defensive team member Danny Green about adding Gasol after the Raptors defeated the Atlanta Hawks 119-101 at State Farm Arena last night.

Marc Gasol will forever be connected to the city of Memphis. While Gasol and Conley were both hot-button topics over recent days, many believed the veteran center would be heading to the Charlotte Hornets.

Memphis will receive Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright, C.J. Miles and a 2024 second-round pick in return.

The trade comes after a flurry of activity in the Eastern Conference that saw several potential playoff opponents of the Raptors make moves to bolster their squads. After a bit of a slow start to the day, we've got our first really big trade of the day.

The NBA's trade deadline is at 3 p.m. E.T. Stay tuned.
