Hazard has been in excellent form under Maurizio Sarri this season scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions.

Higuain hit the ground running with two goals on his Premier League debut in Chelsea's 5-0 thrashing of Huddersfield, but Sarri has the bigger picture in mind for the Argentine forward ahead of this weekend's trip to champions Manchester City, live on Sky Sports Premier League from 3.30pm on Sunday.

'I've only played two games with Higuaon and I know we can do something great together, not only with him but also with the other strikers, the other winger.

Belgium worldwide Eden Hazard has dropped a massive hint that he could stay put with Chelsea beyond the end of the ongoing campaign.

Maurizio Sarri says that Gonzalo Higuaín thrives when he has a point to prove and is already beginning to inspire his Chelsea team-mates. "In my first season in Naples, he arrived late for the training camp", Sarri added of Higuain.

"I can hear everything the fans say, 'Come on Hazard!' 'Do some magic, please!' That's why I love to play there".

Hazard said Chelsea still need time to adapt to Sarri's possession-based style of play, which contrasts to the counter-attacking football of previous managers Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho. "But in the end they are very personal decisions".

Asked why he connects so well with Higuain, Chelsea's head coach replied: "Mentally I think it was the same, but I think that Gonzalo is very suitable for my football, so the feeling is really fantastic. I like this kind of football".

"I speak every day with Eden, but I speak with Eden about his position on the pitch", said Sarri, who has previously admitted he does not expect Hazard's final decision to be known until the summer.

"He needs confidence first of all. We will see in the future".
