New 'Avengers: Endgame' trailer features Captain Marvel

One big question: Did NASA help bring him back? We see this in Avengers: Infinity War when Star-Lord goes to shoot Gamora and his blast turns into bubbles - all thanks to the Reality Stone. Thanos has set in motion a Decimation that wiped out 50% of the universe, including some of the world's greatest heroes, including Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and Black Panther. Most probably, during this speech, the Avengers are going to take the fight to Thanos once again.

Endgame picks up following the events of Infinity War, which, as absolutely no one needs reminding of, ended with Thanos collecting all six Infinity Stones and snapping half of the universe out of existence. This means that Tony Stark will be saved from space. As it should be, by all accounts, this looks to be Robert Downey Jr.'s final entry in the MCU.

Here we get our first look at the new Captain America costume and shield.

The third flashback is of Asgard, with Thor and Odin. And finally right before the trailer ends, we get a shot of the female superhero of the year in all her glory, Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) as she faces a slightly impressed Thor.

There's not long to wait until we have the answers to all these questions in the grand conclusion to Marvel's 22 film series. We all know otherwise, however. Don Cheadle's War Machine is poised and ready to blast forth in an action pose. "None of us can go back". To round it all out we have Rocket Raccoon appearing a bit apprehensive and scared.

Gurira does, however, appear in the poster's bottom roster alongside other cast members that didn't receive top billing, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Benedict Wong and Jon Favreau.

Light on actual plot, the new trailer is another character study that largely focuses on Ant-Man and the original six Avengers, what they've all been through over the course of almost two dozen Marvel movies, and who they've lost.

Joe Russo did not flat out confirm that Okoye would return prior to the poster being released, but said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, "Danai did, I thought, fantastic work in Infinity War, and I think that that character is very powerful and super compelling, and I think there's a lot of places to go with that character".
