Klay Thompson Called Out Warriors Fans After Loss To Suns

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (1) trips over Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (11) chasing a loose ball during the fourth quarter at Oracle Arena.

The Golden State Warriors suffered another embarrassing loss at the hands of Phoenix Suns, bowing down to the Western Conference's worst team at home, 115-111.

Playing the second night of a back-to-back, the Suns found the energy to outlast the Warriors after having trailed by as many as 16 points. The Warriors are aiming for their 19th consecutive win over the Suns.

Not only would it have been expected based on the tremendous disparity in talent, but the Warriors had won 18 straight over Phoenix, the longest streak of one team by another in all four major professional sports at the time. The Suns played only 21 hours, 30 minutes later with the Daylight Saving Time change.

The Suns aren't a PG and PF away from being the Warriors with or without Durant either (obviously presuming that they somehow don't acquire superstars at both positions) so even if they had a legitimate National Basketball Association starter at both positions, I wouldn't expect Phoenix to be any better than 1-3 during the regular season in that situation either. Booker then converted two free throws to seal the game.

The Suns now have victories over the best teams in the Western Conference and Eastern Conference in the last week.

Thompson added: "I expect our crowd to be a little more into it too".

Green went 3-of-9 on Sunday night and 0-of-3 from 3-point range.

The Dubs displayed poor shooting against the Suns, particularly Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, who combined to miss 22 3-pointers in the loss.

The Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors meet Sunday in National Basketball Association action at the Oracle Arena.
