The first new Star Wars movie releases on December 16, 2022, followed by the second on December 20, 2024, and a third on December 18, 2026. December 22, 2023 will see Avatar 3, with Avatar 4 on December 19, 2025, and Avatar 5 on December 17, 2027.
It also will have a trio of Marvel films, though two are still untitled. After that, the studio will release three films in 2021 and three in 2022.
For the first time since the movies returned in 2015, there will be a three year gap between Star Wars films. Personally, I'm super stoked for Marvel's Old Captain America and the Sea, a gritty, superhero take on a Hemingway classic.
For those of you who don't know, "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" will get released December 2019.
The big question hanging over the series is whether writer-director James Cameron can rekindle excitement surrounding Avatar's Pandora world and its Na'vi people over the next two to eight years.

"With a strong summer already in place, we are eager to carry that momentum forward over the coming years thanks to a creative wellspring of bold and imaginative stories coming from our world-class studios", Cathleen Taft, head of distribution for Disney, said in a statement.
