The hit HBO series "Game of Thrones" is coming to a close this Sunday, and fans will soon learn the fate of the characters still standing after the bloody Battle of King's Landing. HBO recently shared the trailer of a documentary based on the TV Show aptly titled Game of Thrones: The Last Watch.

We're one episode away from Game of Thrones officially ending and while the final season has left fans a little divided, you can't deny it's the end of an era. In the meantime, be sure to check out our recap of the penultimate episode of the show, leading us into the series finale. We also see Emilia aka Daenerys Targaryen shooting her last scene. In the trailer, we get a glimpse at the cast's final table read where Kit aka Jon Snow was seen getting emotional.

"It's like looking around and seeing your family", showrunner Dan Weiss tells the assembled cast just before the actors dive into Season 8's scripts. According to an HBO press statement sent to Entertainment Weekly, the doc will "reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields, and car-parks of Northern Ireland".

The Last Watch, as mentioned above, arrives on 26 May.

Dubbed Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, the documentary is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the final season of the show that has dominated the television landscape over the past decade.
